Request Time Off Function

Note, that staff have access to a reduced number of time off types using the staff portal, i.e. holiday, but the full spectrum of time off types is only available to users of the workforce platform with the appropriate user rights, i.e. store manager/regional manager, depending on the hierarchy the company you work for uses.
Time off types, like Jury Duty will have to be requested by you on behalf of your staff. Watch the video for instructions.
The time off request function is a function that allows you to request time off for your staff and approve the request if you have the correct permission level to do so.
First select the member of staff in the following example I am using Mike Hennessy and click on Show Request Form.
From the Manage Time Off Requests screen select “Request Time Off” (1) a pop up box will be displayed on the screen. Select the required time off type from the dropdown menu (2) select the first date and last date of the time off (3)
Change the status as required (5) and submit.
Key points to remember
- Days off are not excluded from time off requests automatically so if a staff member on a 3 day contract requests a week holiday you need to select the dates of the 3 days not the start and end of week.
- Any notes written in the note box will be visible for the staff member to read on their staff portal.
