How to add a member of staff from another site onto your rota
Add Relief Staff Function
This is a function that can be used to move a member of staff from one site to your site on a temporary basis. The member of staff will be displayed on the rota page with details of any shifts that they are already working in other sites.
In this example I am going to show you how to move Aga into the operation team rota.
First select the add relief icon to open up the Add Relief Staff pop up box.
Select Other Department/Venue (or shop) and set the search criteria using the Venue and Staff Role options. Select filter, this will bring up a list of all the staff available for you to select from.
If you are dealing with a large list of staff names you are able to narrow down the search by typing in the search box.
Select the member of staff, in this case Agnieszka Denis and click on the Add Staff icon and the member of staff will be added to your rota.
As you can see from the image below Agnieszka Denis is now showing on the rota and can now be scheduled in for some shifts in the Operations team department.
Key points to remember
- If your rota is in the approved status you will not be able to access the Add Relief icon until the rota has been unapproved.
- If you copy a rota to another week that has a relief staff member attached, this staff member will also be copied over to the selected week. To remove the staff member detach or delete any shifts attached to the staff member and they will be removed when you save the rota.
