If you just started working for a company that is using ShopWorks or you have been promoted into a role that requires you to use ShopWorks follow below steps to get to know the tool.
The resources provided, in the sequence listed, mirrors the agenda of a training session on ShopWorks.
Note, that we are regularly adding to the support materials provided. You may see more resources available when you log in than shown in the screenshots.
This will open a separate tab, the support site. At the top you can log a ticket. Logging a ticket should be done when something doesn't work as expected and you cannot find the answer in the help materials: Biometrics, General, and FAQs.
If your company is using biometrics to let staff clock in and out select Biometrics on the left.
Biometric devices fall into one of two categories: Facial Scanner, or Fingerprint Scanner. Consult the entries below the type of biometric device your company is using. Entries show how to register users, update their scans, and remove them.
From the support site select General for instructions on the platform (software).
This will take you to the content covering the ShopWorks platform.
Start at the top and work your way through entries 1 - 5. The last entry (Admin) only applies to the Administrator user of your company.
Let's look at the sections.
1. All Staff:
This entry is for all staff who use the staff portal.
Note, that all entries feature a training video at the top and written instructions below. The written instructions mirror the training video. Consult either as needed.
In the navigation section resources are provided here.
The resources in this section show how to work with rotas.
Rotas allow you to schedule shifts and staff for your venue/department. Start at the top and work your way through.
4. Time Off
The resources in this section show different options for making time off requests, how to action them, and how to work with unresolved requests.
The worklog is where the plan from the rota is being reconciled with what actually happened. Here shifts are confirmed, lateness and overtime logged, ad hoc time off and replacement shifts accounted for.
Note, that working with the worklog differs whether your company is or isn't using biometrics.
Select See all X articles to access all resources on the worklog.
There are limited resources available for the admin users on the support site. This is because of confidentiality reason.
If you are your company's administrator, contact ShopWorks for additional materials.
